Our History at Little Eagle Harbor

On July 15th 1982, we (Gerry and Sharon and their 3 children Noelle 9, Travis 6, and Brandon 4 months) arrived on this remote piece of land with little more than a chain-saw, a few nails, and a fierce determination to make this uninhabited land our home.

Our first home was built with logs from the beach. It had no running water, in-door plumbing, or electricity. With the abundance of fish and game in the area we  lived a subsistence lifestyle.

Over the years we met many people who loved our lifestyle and started coming to spend time with us when they had vacation from their nine to five jobs. This gave us the idea of "Little Eagle Lodge," a place where people could come to enjoy the things that Alaska is famous for, like salmon and halibut fishing, wildlife viewing, or simply the sounds of nature, the wind in the trees, and the indescribable songs of the sea.

Now years later everything is the same except the kids are grown and in place of the rustic log cabin is the beautiful "Little Eagle Lodge."
